    We lowered the limit from $10,000 to zero to enhance your online security while streamlining your wire transfer process, eliminating the need for additional follow-up communications to verify the authenticity of the Wire Transfer. All Wire Transfers, regardless of dollar amount, will require a SAC.

    Fraudulent activity is on the rise, and F&M SACs combined with your Login ID and password assists in protecting you from this increased threat. The Dual Authorization feature is another layer of security that we recommend business clients use.
  3. 3. Do I still have to send an email to follow-up on my Wire Transfers?
    No, you no longer need to send an email to follow-up with us when submitting a Wire Transfer through Online Banking.
  4. 4. Are you still going to call me to verify my outgoing Wire Transfers?
    No, we will no longer call you to verify the authenticity of an outgoing wire transfer originated through Online Banking.
  5. 5. Can I submit International Wire Transfers through Online Banking?
    Yes, International Wire Transfers will need to be sent through the international wire option through Online Banking. They need to be in U.S. funds and sent through a corresponding U.S. bank.
  6. 6. What is the cut off time for submitting Wire Transfers through Online Banking?
    Domestic and International Wire Transfers submitted before 2pm PT on a business day will be processed the same day. Wire Transfers submitted after 2pm PT will be sent the next business day.

    No, there is no limit to the number of Wire Transfers you can submit through Online Banking.

    Dual Authorization is a security tool for business accounts, which requires two individuals to complete a transaction such as a Wire Transfer.
  11. 11. Do you offer Dual Authorization for Wire Transfers?
    Yes, as an added level of security, the bank encourages businesses that originate Wire Transfers through Online Banking enable the dual authorization feature.
  12. 12. What is a SAC?
    A F&M SAC is a unique, single-use 5-digit code which protects against fraud by safeguarding your online transactions and sensitive information. A SAC is another level of authentication in addition to your Login ID and password, providing you stronger online security.
  13. 13. How will my SAC be sent to me?
    You choose how you want to receive your SAC: by text, email, or phone. F&M Bank needs your current contact information on file for you to receive your SAC.
  14. 14. How does a SAC work?
    Each time you submit a Wire Transfer, you will be sent a newly generated SAC. Once you receive the SAC, you have ten minutes to enter the 5 digits in the space provided. Select "Confirm."
  15. 15. How long does it take to receive a SAC?
    The SAC is sent instantly by the method of your choice and is valid for only ten minutes. After ten minutes, the SAC will expire, and you will need to generate a new SAC. The time limit is part of the security features of the SAC.
  16. 16. What if I don't receive my SAC?
    If you don't receive your SAC, please call us at (866) 437-0011 M-F: 7am-9pm, Sat 8am-9pm, and Sun 8am-5pm PT.
  17. 17. What happens if I enter the SAC incorrectly?
    You can attempt entering the SAC again, however you may be locked out of Online Banking if you unsuccessfully attempt three times. Please call us for assistance or to unlock your Online Banking profile at (866) 437-0011 M-F: 7am-9pm, Sat 8am-9pm, and Sun 8am-5pm PT.
