"In addition to her work in the field, Christina is one of the community’s most outspoken advocates to the general public."
For many suffering from mental illness, finding an advocate can make a profound and life-altering difference. Dr. Christina Miller has dedicated her life to being that advocate.
Christina is President and CEO of Mental Health America of Los Angeles, a 94-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for adults living with mental health issues to live full and meaningful lives. Christina uses her more than 25 years of experience in social service to deliver innovative programs and services that cover social services, mental healthcare, homelessness, behavioral medicine, substance abuse and other areas.
In addition to her work in the field, Christina is one of the community’s most outspoken advocates to the general public. She has contributed columns to national publications on mental health topics and hosted a talk radio show on mental health and psychology.
When addressing issues like mental illness, homelessness and substance abuse, silence is perhaps one of the largest obstacles to growth and productivity. Christina, through her leadership and compassion, is seeing to it that this community has a voice and that their wide-ranging needs are addressed with the utmost care.
Farmers & Merchants Bank has been proudly doing business with Mental Health America for 22 years.
